On February 15, 2024, Council approved a 5.79% average increase to the residential property tax levy. You can read more in my 2024 Budget newsletter. Further information is available at hamilton.ca/budget2024. Below is a graphical overview of the 5.79%; 1.64% for City services and 4.15% due to Provincial downloading of costs to the City of Hamilton.
